Venetian & Stone is owned and operated by Jim Hempel. Jim’s depth of experience in plaster and stone applications spans over thirty five years. His profession has taken him across the United States and to Europe, where the art of plaster and stone applications has been an integral part of the building culture for centuries. Jim’s passion for Venetian plaster lead him to the origins of the art form to learn the techniques that have been handed down from generation to generation. Verona, Italy is the home of the Safra studios, which is where Jim was trained and certified by their master artists.
